Secrets of a Romance Writer: Favorite Thing I've written and Why
Although I don’t often shout it from the rooftops, I began my career by writing fan fiction. And not that I’m not proud of it, but it’s not what I want to be known for, so NO, I’m not telling you where you can find it! But, I had the good fortune of striking a friendship with a well-known writer in our fandom. Through a series of conversations, and a perfect fantasy that had to be written, we created a popular novella series. The series grew into a wonderful story, and an even better friendship.
Author Lisa Andrew and I are amazing friends, and a lot of that grew from the story we created. She is my soulmate and knows me better than anyone, even those closest to me in my everyday life. There’s not a day that goes by that I don't wish we lived closer together. Our visits are far and few between, but after about six months apart, we are always dying to meet up again. I’ve never had such a close friendship before and I’m truly blessed to have her in my life. Without her love and support when I began writing again since the silly fictions I wrote in my teens, I wouldn’t be actually working on my craft now. Because of her belief in me, I have two published novels to my credit and more on the way!
Want to know about other author’s favorites? Lucky for you, my fabulous friends are part of this challenge too. Hop over to their blogs and/or Twitter to find out more!
